Prayer flags are a colourful Tibetan tradition. They are hung outside for the wind to carry the illustrated prayer to heaven. These beautiful flags can brighten up a tree, fence and / or garden.
The images drawn on the flags are fixed and will not run if rained on. They will eventually degrade in the elements however; this takes a long time to happen. They will usually be hung with string or rope rather than a pole as illustrated above.
The flags can also be used as an activity for celebrating festivals of all kinds. A fun and involving activity for all ages.
